Title:   Supply and Logistics Manager, Reading, UK

Summary:

Responsible for managing logistics related activities for the movement of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods from suppliers to CMO’s, CMO’s to Third Party Logistics providers including wholesalers / distributors in the European markets where Archimedes commercializes products.

Ensures compliance to GDP, import/export, customs and other local regulatory requirements.

Serves as primary interface to markets for GSC related matters.
 

 Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage / monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of materials across supply network.
  • Analyze data to monitor performance and plan process improvements and applicable logistics solutions on a product by product basis.
  • Manage, Liaise and negotiate with 3PL’s in terms of operational performance and support the set-up and consolidation of Archimedes’ European commercial operations.
  • Maintain controlled drug licenses in line with commercial product movements in Europe by liaising with Home Office and European 3PL’s.
  • Support new product introductions / new markets through effective planning and logistics processes in accordance with commercial requirements.
  • Interface with Archimedes commercial operations for supply & logistics matters.
  • Manage operational interface with a number of Archimedes suppliers. 
  • Lead / facilitate EU Demand Management process to collect, analyze market specific forecasts and present demand plan as part of overall S&OP monthly process to senior management.
  • Raise and place purchase orders on SAP system for importation, testing & release and distribution services within EU.
  • Perform SAP data maintenance for new products and product changes across Archimedes companies.
  • Complete SAP inventory receipts as required.
  • Issue monthly report for forecast accuracy/customer service KPIs and collaborate with Finance to obtain monthly reporting of Logistics & Distribution expenditures. 
  • Provide information to the Planning, Procurement and Inventory Managers relating to inventory control and monthly inventory reporting activities. 
  • Other activities as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Experience
Minimum:

  • BS/BA Degree in related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain and logistics role with demonstrated track record of achievement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, GDP practices and import / export requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

  • APICS Certification and/or qualification in supply chain management, logistics or related discipline
